Emotiv Epoc - Icons by ChiEkku Emotiv Epoc - Icons by ChiEkku
For those of you who own an Emotiv Epoc, like me, here are two dock icons for the control panel or the brain activity map program. (original and black chrome)

512x512 PNG. Recreated in CorelDRAW and shaded in Photoshop.

For those of you who don't know what the Emotiv Epoc is, check it out here:

Wow, that company looks awesome. Is the epoc headset really worth the $299? It looks like there's not too much software out there to let you use it...

Not a lot of software out at the moment, but give it some time and there should be lots. It's a game controller much like a joystick, and also has gyros in addition to the 14 sensors. It won't be long before some major games support the headset (or at least I hope!). In the next version of the control panel, it'll add support for mouse clicking, which means you can play RTS games hands free! You can already adapt it to play first person shooters (though I haven't tried yet).

It's also quite a challenge, almost a game in itself, to train the headset. A section of the program allows you to mentally manipulate a box (up, down, left, right, forward, back, all in 3D space). Being a fairly new device (came out Christmas 09), it'll take a bit to get into the market, but it's totally worth it! There's bound to be tons of games adding support for this headset in the next year.

Yes, I guess an Emotiv Epoc would be quite fun, but I can't afford one at the moment. Maybe once they become popular enough to mass produce cheaply, I'll buy one.
